Havurat Tikvah, a member of the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation (JRF), is a circle of friends, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, who get together for fellowship, Jewish worship and study and sharing joy and sorrow. We are an inclusive, diverse group of singles, Jewish and interfaith couples, children and adults of various ages, stages and sexual orientation. An affiliate of JRF, the group is open to anyone who wishes a spiritual experience within a Jewish context.

Schedules include a variety of regular gatherings including Kaballat Shabbat services, Adult Educational programming and Havdalah, Shabbat morning services, plus holidays and life cycle special events and study.

School-age children may participate in our cooperative Religious School.

Currently, events are hosted in members' homes or in rented locations for larger occasions. We prepare Kosher-styled, dairy/vegetarian dishes at our events. Havurat Tikvah takes on several Tzedakah (charity) projects and activities throughout the year. The group is constantly evolving and eager for new members and new ideas. We pride ourselves in creating a warm and interesting community of people committed to sharing, learning and supporting each other within a Jewish context.
