This weekend, we are delighted to welcome back to Charlotte Dr. Rachel Dulin. Rachel Z. Dulin was born in Israel and educated in Israel and the United States. A dramatic and gifted instructor, she has pioneered new methods of teaching Hebrew to adults and has done groundbreaking research in the confluence of Women's Studies and biblical scholarship. On Friday, February 7, at our Late at Eight service, the topic of Dr. Dulin’s talk will be “Exceptional Biblical Heroes”. On Saturday morning, February 8 at 9:00 am, our Shabbaton continues with a Dr. Dulin’s workshop entitled “ The Book of Esther: Then and Today” An Exploration of Politics, Gender, Faith and Action. Following the workshop, Dr. Dulin will present a Dvar Torah on the week’s Parashah, T’tzaveh. A warm and wonderful Havdalah service at 5:00 pm will conclude our engaging, not-to-be-missed annual Shabbaton event. This weekend is made possible by the generosity of Norm Levin in memory of his mother, Sadie Levin. Like Norm, Sadie gave time, passion and energy toward building the Jewish community.
