Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte, Temple Beth El, and Grier Heights Presbyterian Church invite you to a special screening of the documentary A Binding Truth, hosted at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte.

This powerful film tells the true story of Jimmie Lee Kirkpatrick and De Kirkpatrick, two Myers Park alumni whose lives are forever changed by a shocking discovery. Rooted in the South, their story is also America’s story — one that confronts the legacy of slavery, the realities of our current racial divide, and the possibility of healing. As Jimmie and De explore their binding truth, the film points toward a way forward.

Following the one-hour screening, join Rabbi Erdheim and Rev. Dr. Anita R. Wright for a thoughtful conversation with Jimmie Lee Kirkpatrick and De Kirkpatrick, followed by facilitated table discussions with fellow attendees.
