Many Jews choose to wear specific ritual items when they pray. You might see someone enter the sanctuary wearing a kippah (head covering), a tallit (prayer shawl), or tefillin (leather boxes worn on the head and arm). This session will explore the meaning and traditions behind these items. We will discuss why someone might choose to wear them, what characteristics make them significant, and how communities have adapted them over time.
