Explore the Jewish experience in America from colonial times to the present. Over the course of a month, we will discuss the waves of immigration that brought Jews from across the world. We will explore Jewish contributions in major areas of American life, trace the evolution of religious practices, the development of denominations, and consider the impact of both antisemitism and philosemitism.
This course will be taught by Temple Israel member and teacher Marshal Auron. He has had a lifelong love for history and government and has experience sharing his knowledge through lively presentations and classes. As an active member of Temple Israel, Marshal has generously offered multiple, well-received adult education classes there over the last few years. We are grateful that he is expanding his teaching and sharing his wisdom with the Temple Beth El community.
Register by Friday, January 30.
