We Foster Lifelong Personal Connections Between Israelis and Charlotteans
Federation builds meaningful relationships with people in Israel and around the world. We’ve helped hundreds of Charlotteans and Israelis forge lasting connections through immersive experiences and programming.
Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte partners with IsraelNow to offer Jewish 8th graders a life-changing trip to Israel. With antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiments on the rise, this trip provides an opportunity for teens to see and experience Israel firsthand and understand its importance to their Jewish identities.
These trips aim to help these students build a connection with Israel, form a local Jewish community, and engage in Jewish life throughout high school and beyond. Teens will visit Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Masada, and the Dead Sea. They will volunteer, explore areas of Israel off the beaten trail, and engage in discussions to understand and deepen their Jewish identity, all while making new friends.
